It’s a Shor thing. Be ready.

Quantum computers will break today’s encryption. We help you get ready.

What We Do

QDay Enterprise Consulting LLC helps public sector and commercial organizations lock down their data for the post-quantum era. We discover where vulnerable cryptography is in use, prioritize what matters most, and remediate to NIST post-quantum cryptography (PQC) standards, using enterprise visibility and AI to move faster and with confidence.

Post-Quantum Cryptography Readiness

The harvest is already underway.

Adversaries have been collecting encrypted data for years, waiting for quantum computers powerful enough to unlock it. Data already taken can’t be recalled, but every day on legacy encryption adds to what they hold. QDay Enterprise Consulting LLC helps you close that window by remediating to NIST post-quantum cryptography standards, without rewriting applications or disrupting operations.

The stockpile growsEach day on legacy encryption adds more data that can be decrypted later.
Q-Day
Harvested data can be unlockedA capable quantum computer breaks RSA and elliptic-curve keys.
Starting now
Remediate to NIST PQCMoving to ML-KEM and ML-DSA protects new data from being harvested.
The goal: stop adding to the stockpile. Every connection moved to post-quantum cryptography is one less thing an adversary can decrypt.
Why PQC, Why Now

Your encryption has an expiration date.

The risk isn’t only about when a quantum computer arrives. It’s about how long your data must stay secret, and how long it will take you to migrate. If those two add up to more than the time left before Q-Day, your data is already at risk. The faster you remediate, the smaller that exposure window gets.

The post-quantum risk equation

Based on Mosca’s theorem, a widely used way to frame quantum risk. Illustrative, not to scale.

Data shelf life
Migration time
Time to Q-Day

When the top bar runs past the bottom one, the difference is your exposure window. Shortening migration time is the one part of this equation you control.

Where does your organization stand?

Most organizations can’t yet say where their vulnerable encryption is. That’s where we start.

Our Approach

Discover. Remediate. Report.

Discovery feeds remediation, and reporting proves it. We find where legacy cryptography is in use, upgrade it to NIST post-quantum standards at the network layer, and document the results for auditors and leadership.

01

Discover

Find where legacy cryptography is actually in use, ranked by exposure rather than by count.

  • Discovery on live network traffic
  • Algorithms, protocols, TLS versions and certificates
  • Cloud, on-premises and legacy systems
  • Prioritized by mission impact and HNDL exposure
02

Remediate

Upgrade connections to NIST post-quantum cryptography by policy, with no application rewrites.

  • NIST ML-KEM (FIPS 203) and ML-DSA (FIPS 204)
  • Network-layer protection for data in transit
  • No code changes or rip-and-replace
  • Traffic keeps flowing during the upgrade
03

Report

Prove progress with audit-ready evidence mapped to the mandates you answer to.

  • Cryptographic Bill of Materials (CBOM)
  • Mapped to EO 14412, OMB M-26-15, CNSA 2.0 and NIST
  • Board-ready remediation metrics
  • Continuous crypto-agility as standards evolve
Rip and replace, one application at a time
  • Every application becomes its own project
  • Code changes, testing and redeployment for each system
  • Downtime risk for critical operations
  • The whole program starts over when algorithms change again
Network-layer, crypto-agile remediation
  • Adds NIST PQC to the connections you already run
  • No application rewrites or library swaps
  • Upgrades happen while traffic keeps flowing
  • Future algorithm changes become a policy update

Network-layer remediation protects data in transit. Data at rest, such as disk and database encryption, is addressed through your existing controls and included in the roadmap.

Powered by enterprise visibility

Security telemetry, SIEM integration and asset discovery show where cryptography actually runs, not just where it’s documented.

Supported by AI

We use AI-assisted analysis to help sort large volumes of discovery findings, so the systems with the highest exposure rise to the top for review.

Industries

Why these industries are most exposed.

Quantum risk is highest where data must stay secret for a long time, systems stay in service for decades, and regulators are already setting deadlines.

HealthcareLifetimeLongRisingVery high

State & Local GovernmentDecadesLongEmergingHigh

QDay Enterprise Consulting LLC’s assessment, based on typical data retention, system lifespans and regulatory activity in each sector.

Healthcare

Why exposed

Medical information stays sensitive for a patient’s entire life, and it can’t be changed like a password.

  • Medical histories and genomic data
  • Insurance and billing records
  • Clinical research and trial data
  • Connected devices with long service lives

Financial Services

Why exposed

Nearly every transaction, identity check and interbank message depends on public-key cryptography.

  • Payment and settlement systems
  • Customer identities and accounts
  • Long-term contracts and records
  • Trust in signed transactions

Critical Infrastructure

Why exposed

Operational technology often runs for decades and can’t be patched or replaced quickly.

  • SCADA and industrial control systems
  • Substations, pipelines and water systems
  • Remote devices with fixed firmware
  • Long procurement and upgrade cycles

Federal & Defense

Why exposed

Agencies are prime targets for HNDL and already face formal post-quantum migration requirements.

  • National security and intelligence data
  • Citizen and personnel records
  • Weapons and mission systems
  • EO 14412 and OMB M-26-15 deadlines

State & Local Government

Why exposed

They hold decades of resident data and run essential services, often with limited budgets and staff.

  • Tax, court and benefits records
  • 911 and public safety systems
  • Utilities, transit and election systems
  • Shared services across agencies

The common thread

What they share

Data that must stay secret for years, systems that are slow to change, and growing pressure from regulators and boards. That combination makes waiting the riskiest option.

John Sickle founded QDay Enterprise Consulting LLC to help organizations get ahead of one of the most significant security transitions in modern history: the move to post-quantum cryptography.

John’s career has been spent helping federal agencies, defense and intelligence community customers, and large enterprises adopt complex technologies that change how they operate. He has held enterprise and federal sales and go-to-market leadership roles at Oracle, Nutanix, Splunk, UiPath and D2iQ, working across data platforms, cloud and hybrid infrastructure, Kubernetes, security analytics and observability, and intelligent automation.

That range is exactly what a post-quantum migration demands. Cryptography is embedded in every layer of the enterprise, from data and applications to infrastructure and the tools that monitor them. Finding it takes the visibility John championed at Splunk. Fixing it takes the infrastructure and platform experience he built at Oracle, Nutanix and D2iQ, including bringing D2iQ’s Kubernetes platform together with Nutanix.

John’s commitment to protecting critical missions began in uniform. He is a United States Air Force veteran.

At QDay Enterprise Consulting LLC, John leads every engagement personally. He brings in vetted specialists and proven partner technology matched to each client’s needs, so customers get senior-level attention and a plan that fits their mission.
